  Our 2008 Welcome Aboard Reception is scheduled for June 8 @ 2 PM, Oklahoma School Of Science and Math in OKC.  Academy families and current midshipmen and cadets as well as academy alumni are strongly encouraged to attend to help welcome in the incoming classes of 2012.....  We welcome in our new OKNAPC officers......... The Yard

Bancroft Hall "Mother B" is named after Secretary of the Navy George Bancroft (1845-1846).  Brancroft founded the Naval Academy.  This enormous complex is home to the brigade and  is the heart of the Academy.  It has 4.8 miles of corridors and houses over 4,200 midshipmen.

USNA Chapel    
Buchanan House is named after Franklin Buchanan, the first superintendent of the USNA.   It is the residence of the Superintendent.

Mahan Hall is named after Rear Admiral Alfred Thayer Mahan (1840-1914) who was a naval historian, strategist and author of books on Nelson and Farragut.  His Sea Power lectures became the foundation for the Naval War College.  Mahan Hall is used for lectures and plays.   
MacDonough Hall    
Luce Hall is named after Rear Admiral Stephen B. Luce who founded the U.S. Navy War College.   All professional courses are taught here.  
Chauvenet Hall is named after mathematician William Chauvenet.   It houses the Math Department.  
Rickover Hall is named after Admiral Hyman G. Rickover, the "Father of the Nuclear Navy."  The Engineering Departments are located here.    
Nimitz Library is named after Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz, Commander-In-Chief of the Pacific Fleet in WW II.    
Dahlgren Hall is named after Rear Admiral John A. Dahlgren, a master of Naval ordnance.  It is used as a sports arena and dance hall.   The Dry Dock restaurant is located here.  
Mitscher Hall

Halsey Field House is named after Fleet Admiral William "Bull" Halsey, Commander of the Third Fleet in the Pacific theater during WW II.  The USNA Vistor's Center is here as well.
